Recording with settop box

Whether you?re at home or not, it?s easy to record your favorite programs and enjoy them later whenever you like.

 

HowTo Record a Program Immediately

Set your converter box to the desired channel. Set your VCR to channel 3 and begin recording.

 

To Record a Program While You?re Away

1. Program your VCR and make sure it is set on Channel 3.

2. Turn your converter box on, set it to the desired channel and leave it on. Your VCR will turn on and record the program at the scheduled time.

 

To Record Future Programs

You can use the converter?s program timer to automatically turn on and tune to specific channels to record up to 8 future programs. To record programs, you must also program your VCR to turn on and start recording.

 

1. Press ,            highlight PROGRAM TIMERS. Press               . (The PROGRAM TIMERS screen lists all timers that have been        set.)

2. Highlight a blank line and press               . Important! Do not overlap program times when setting up program timers.

3. Set the date, time and channel that you want to record and the length of the recording as follows:

 

? Single (Record a single program (one time))

? Weekly (Record this program each week)

? Every day (Record this program every day)

? Mon-Fri (Record this program every weekday)

 

?Press     (down arrow) to highlight the next setting.

?Press            OR            to change the START DAY. Press to go to the next setting.

?Enter the START TIME using the number buttons (           or /            ):

?Change the HOUR. Press    .

?Change the MINUTES. Press    .

?Press           OR             to change to AM or PM. Press   .

 

For example, if the program lasts one and a half hours, set the length to 1:30.

Enter the CHANNEL for the program using the number buttons (            or /            ). Press to return to the TYPE setting.

When the timer is set the way you want it, Press MENU to save the program timer.

 

Important! Remember to set your VCRs timer. Also, regardless of what channel you are recording, you must set your VCR to Channel 3.

 

Deleting Program Timers

1. Press MENU, highlight PROGRAM TIMERS. Press SELECT.

2. The PROGRAM TIMERS screen lists all program timers that have been set.

3. Highlight the program timer you want to delete.

4. Press 0 to clear the timer.
